A conservative women’s group based in Washington, D.C., has thrown its support behind U.S. Senate candidate Shane Osborn.
“He has the ability to get America back on the right track,” Penny Nance, CEO of the Concerned Women political action committee, said in a press release. “Shane will face the challenges facing this country head-on and will be strong in the face of opposition.”
Osborn, a former Nebraska state treasurer, is running for the Republican nomination to the seat currently occupied by Mike Johanns, R-Neb. Three others are vying for the nomination: Pinnacle Bank President Sid Dinsdale, Omaha lawyer Bart McLeay and Midland University President Ben Sasse.
The GOP primary winner will face attorney Dave Domina, a Democrat.
