Best Places to Work in Omaha winners announced

The Best Places to Work in Omaha for 2014 were announced Thursday in two tiers.

The top five among companies with 25 to 200 employees: 1. Fusion Medical Staffing; 2. LinkedIn; 3. Edward Jones Investments; 4. Team Software; and 5. Medical Solutions LLC.

Companies with 201 or more employees: 1. NEI Global Relocation; 2. Farm Credit Services of America; 3. Travel and Transport Inc.; 4. American Title, Inc.; and 5. PayPal

The Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and Baird Holm LLP are co-sponsors of the competition. Created in 2003, the competition “recognizes those employers in Greater Omaha with truly great, engaged places to work,” said Scott S. Moore, survey founder and partner at Baird Holm.

The competition measures levels of employee satisfaction through an online survey. The research is performed by Quantum Workplace. Silverstone Group provided analysis and feedback to participants.

David Brown, president and CEO of the chamber, said, “Research clearly shows that more engaged employees tend to stay longer, serve customers more effectively and help drive a more profitable company.”

The winners will be publicly recognized May 8 at an 11:45 a.m. luncheon event at CenturyLink Center Omaha. Tickets are $40 per person or $400 for a table for 10. They are available online. The luncheon is held in conjunction with Baird Holm's Annual Labor Law Forum.

Omahans start their workday earlier than most, at 7:48 a.m.
