Mavs tied for first after first day of California invite

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — The UNO men’s golf team is tied for first after two rounds at the Carlton Oaks Invitational.

Karl Krieser and Alex Overfelt both shot 153 on the day to lead the Mavs. Krieser shot 76-77 while Overfelt fired a 77 and 76. Both players are tied for sixth in the 51-player field.

UNO is tied with DePaul for first with a team score of 620, 15 strokes clear of third-place St. Bonaventure. The event is the first of the spring season for the Mavericks.
