Omaha-based L&M Construction Chemicals, a 53-year-old manufacturer of chemicals used in the concrete industry, has been purchased by a Connecticut company.
LATICRETE International Inc., which also manufactures construction chemicals, will retain the sales and manufacturing functions of L&M, which was founded in 1961 by Larry Schwietz. Moving forward, the company's products will still bear the L&M name under the LATICRETE brand.
Greg Schwietz, second-generation owner of L&M, said the deal represented “the best future support and growth opportunities” for the Omaha manufacturer.
L&M operates a manufacturing facility about 15 miles north of downtown Omaha on Calhoun Road. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
