Nominations for the High Plains Book Awards will be accepted through March 14.
The awards, established by the Billings (Mont.) Public Library, recognize regional writers or works that examine life in the High Plains, which includes Nebraska.
The categories are fiction, nonfiction, poetry, short stories, culinary writing, art and photography, young adult, medicine and science, and children’s book, plus best woman writer and best first book.
