LINCOLN — The state fire marshal is warning Nebraskans that the danger of wildfires for most of the state is high.
State Fire Marshal Jim Heine said the map released Wednesday by the Nebraska Forest Service sets the wildfire danger status for most Nebraska counties at high or very high.
Heine said a lack of moisture, recent high winds and people failing to exercise proper caution is a combination for disaster and causes concern for the Nebraska Fire Service. — AP
