A 42-year-old Valley, Neb., woman was seriously injured Thursday night in a single-vehicle traffic accident in southwest Omaha.
Police said the injuries to Sheri Steere were not life-threatening.
The crash occurred at 9:20 p.m. at 138th and Harrison Streets.
Authorities said their initial investigation found that Steere's 1996 Buick Park Avenue was eastbound on Harrison Street when it veered across the median. The Buick continued in the westbound lanes until it crashed into a large concrete wall on the north side of the roadway.
Steere, who was alone in the Buick, suffered a broken pelvis and a broken collarbone, police said.
The accident remains under investigation.
