Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is partnering with Nebraska Crossing Outlets on Saturday and Sunday as part of a "Zooper Bowl" weekend event featuring live animals and special retail promotions.

Animal ambassadors will be on display at the Gretna outlet mall from 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Officials are not yet sure which animals will make an appearance: "If an animal is having a bad day, the lineup could change," zoo spokeswoman Dawn Ream said.

Visitors who present their Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium membership cards at participating retailers will be eligible for special offers or discounts. Zoo memberships will be available for purchase the the outlet center's management office from 12 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Visitors also can enter to win a $500 shopping spree at the mall's management office by selecting the Super Bowl winner and final score. The winner will be selected Sunday night.
