UNO’s Spenner breaks school record

Cedar Falls, Iowa — UNO’s Sami Spenner broke her school record in the heptathlon for the third time in two seasons at the Jack Jennett Invitational on Friday.

Spenner won every individual event to finish with 4,406 points, beating her previous record of 4,271 from last year’s USA Track and Field indoor championship. Though ineligible to compete in NCAA indoor championships due to UNO’s four-year reclassifying period, Spenner’s mark ranks first in the nation.
