• Families with children who are old enough to go to Kindergarten next year can check Pawnee Elementary School. The school is holding kindergarten registration from 4 to 6 p.m.

• Those who enjoy riding a motorcycle and those who want to learn more about them, can do so by participating in the “Motorcycling is Fun” seminar series put together by the Sarpy County Safety Program.

Every third Wednesday of the month at the Sarpy County Law Enforcement Facility, 1208 Golden Gate Drive, from 7 to 9 p.m., there will be a session for both riders and their co-rider. Tonight the topic is Motorist Awareness, which will discuss all the different users of the road.

• To help support Safe Haven, a domestic shelter located in Bellevue, the Bellevue Needlecraft Guild meets on the third Wednesday each month to make afghans, mittens, scarves, slippers, hats and pillows for the residents.

The crafters meet at Richmont Village, located at Fort Crook and Cornhusker roads, from 1 to 4 p.m. Anyone who is involved in needlecraft arts or wanting to learn these skills are welcome. There are no fees, and for more information on how to join, call 402-293-1742.
