A 32-year-old man was seriously wounded in a shooting Monday morning in north Omaha.
Rescue squad personnel reported to Douglas County emergency 911 dispatchers that Eric Anderson suffered a gunshot wound to his right buttocks cheek.
He was taken in serious condition to Creighton University Medical Center with a nonlife-threatening injury.
The shooting occurred about 11:05 a.m. near North 38th and Sprague Streets.
Anderson’s girlfriend was in a car, waiting for him as he came out of a house, police said. A small, black vehicle drove by and a passenger leaned out of the vehicle, firing 13 to 14 gunshots at Anderson, officers said.
The investigation into the shooting continues, police said.
