Fillmore Central's Adams records win No. 100

GENEVA – Fillmore Central junior Trevor Adams is well on his way to breaking the schools' wins for a career record as he picked up win No. 100 on Friday at the Fillmore Central Wrestling Invite.

Adams defeated Justin Christie of York by pin a minute into the match to get to the century mark in the win column.

Unfortunately, Adams could not get past his matt nemesis of this year as Palmer's Brett Santin defeated the junior for the third time this season by the final score of 9-4 in the 195 final. Adams took a 1-0 lead, but Santin quickly erased the deficit and went on to the win.

Adams is 16-3 on the year and Santin is unscathed at 17-0.

The only championship for the Panthers on Friday went to heavyweight Jordan Hinrichs who pinned Cole Larson of Palmer in the final at 4:00. Hinrichs improved to 19-0 with the win.

In the 106 final, FC's Cole Jividen was defeated by Wilber-Clatonia's Jackson Bates 17-2. Jividen's record slips to 14-4, and Bates is 19-1 on the year.

A third place went to Davis Jacobsen at 132 with an 11-4 win over Brandon Tretter of Ravenna. The win improved Davis' record to 18-3.

Picking up a fourth place effort was Wyatt Schiermeyer at 145. The loss in the third place final moves him to 18-4 on the season.

Fifth place went to Caleb Smith who defeated Colt Morgan of Freeman in the fifth place match at 182 4-1. Smith is 7-5 on the year.

The Panthers as a team took fifth place with 100 points, as the Invite went to York with 212.5 and second to Southern Valley with 160.5

Fillmore Central will be back on the mats next Friday at Wilber-Clatonia.
