A nightclub where a 24-year-old woman was fatally shot will close.

Passion Lounge, near 108th and Q streets, withdrew its application with the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission for a Class C liquor license on Dec. 23. The lounge, operated by Salsera Inc., had been operating off a temporary permit issued in September.

Janee K. Hadan of Omaha was shot Dec. 15 in the club's parking lot, and she died later that day at the hospital. Two other men were also injured during the shooting at Roxbury Plaza.

Hadan had gone to the club with a couple friends for a night out. No arrests have been announced in the shooting.

Otoniel Ojeda-Alvarez, the owner of Passion Lounge, had said he was in the process of selling the lounge, which operated out of four suites at 10841 Q St.

Ownership of Passion Lounge changed in October, according to Omaha City Council records, from Hunter and Sheri Sadle to Ojeda-Alvarez and Leda Almonte, who also took over Salsera Inc.

The phone number for the business was disconnected as of Monday.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call the Omaha Police Department's homicide unit at 402-444-5656 or make an anonymous tip through Douglas County Crime Stoppers at 402-444-7867.
