Police late Friday identified a man who was found dead near 48th and Maple Streets.
He is Tristan E. Harper, 29, said Officer James Shade, a police spokesman.
Police found Harper inside a house after neighbors called 911 to report gunfire in the area.
Officers arrived about 4:20 a.m. Friday. They found Harper inside a house at 4812 Maple St.
A neighbor who heard the gunfire said she wasn’t sure how many people lived at the house because she saw so many people coming and going.
Police said they identified Harper through fingerprints.
In 2007, Harper suffered injuries when his rental car collided with an Omaha police cruiser near 37th Street and Ames Avenue.
