The menu now has six new special sashimi, three new nigiri, a new veggie maki, a new Maine lobster maki and two new grill items, crispy marlin bites and charred baby octopus.

Kudos to chef Moser, whose bacon shined on world stage
Chef Matt Moser, who works at Plank in the Old Market, competed in the World Food Championship on Nov. 7 in Las Vegas. Moser placed as a top 50 finalist in the bacon category. He was invited to compete after he won the Beer and Bacon Festival competition in Omaha last August.
Coverage of the championship will air as part of a six-part series next spring on the cable network A&E.
Enroll in a Chef^2 class and earn some kitchen cred'
Chef^2 in Midtown Crossing is starting a series of classes to teach home cooks how to cook with olive oil and balsamic vinegars.
The classes, which will be an hour to 2 hours long, will cover topics including the Mediterranean diet. There's also a basic and advanced tasting class, among others.
