Construction nears completion on SAC's sustainable HQ

SAC Federal Credit Union is on schedule to move into its new Papillion headquarters this spring.

Senior vice president of operations Robin Larsen said the building is expected to be completed by March 17, and the company will begin moving in around March and April. The new building will consolidate several offices to house SAC’s 120 employees. The current headquarters building is located at 39th Street and Highway 370.

Travis Justice, director of business development and marketing for MCL Construction, said the outside of the building, including landscaping, is completely finished, with mostly finish work such as drywall and fine details left inside.

The building has several sustainable features, including a chilled beam system, a way to conserve and reuse energy throughout the building.
Construction began on the approximately $20 million project in in August of 2012.
