Is that printer in the corner on its last leg? Or maybe a rusty paper shredder is contributing to office clutter? Small business advocacy organization SCORE has a lifeline for you.
The nonprofit will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2014 and has partnered with Brother International Corp., a developer of productivity hardware and software, to give away $2,500 in office products and services as part of its BizClips competition.
SCORE will accept 30- to 60-second videos of applicants demonstrating how their business could benefit from a "productivity makeover."
"This is a chance for small businesses to showcase themselves in front of a national audience...SCORE wants to help all small businesses access resources and information to help them be more successful,," said Ken Yancy, CEO at SCORE.
Submissions for the BizClips competition are open through Feb. 25, 2014, so catch a coworker shedding a tear over a paper jam and send away. Information is at www.bizclips.score.org.
Public voting on video submissions will begin in April 2014.
