The body found in a Washington County ravine Monday afternoon was that of a man, but authorities released little other information Tuesday.
The cause and manner of death have not been determined, though Sheriff Mike Robinson said it is suspicious. Authorities do not know the man's identity.
An autopsy will be performed Thursday at the Douglas County Health Center.
The clothed body was found about 12:30 p.m. Monday in the 2500 block of County Road P40, near the Douglas-Washington County line, Robinson said. Detectives found the body after receiving a tip, he said.
Douglas County Sheriff's Office crime lab technicians worked Tuesday with Washington County authorities to process the scene.
