LINCOLN — Omaha attorney Steve Howard announced Tuesday that he will run for the Nebraska Legislature.
He will seek the District 4 seat, now held by the term-limited State Sen. Pete Pirsch.
Howard said his emphasis is on fair tax policy, strong public safety and support for public education. He said governance requires fair and balanced management.
“I’m running because we need leadership grounded in common sense solutions to the challenges we face,” he said.
A resident of Omaha since 1989, Howard has a bachelor’s degree and law degree from Creighton University. He is a partner at Dowd, Howard & Corrigan.
Matt Butler previously declared he will run for the District 4 seat.
