Indie rock fans rejoiced at the news that Neutral Milk Hotel will come to Omaha in the spring.
Superstars of the indie rock world, Neutral Milk Hotel disbanded in 1999, but a reformation and world tour happened earlier this year and will extend into 2014.
Neutral Milk Hotel will perform at Sokol Auditorium on March 29.
In 1998, the band released "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea," a critically acclaimed album that's considered to be not only one of the band's best, but one of the best albums of the last two decades. Several publications including Pitchfork and Allmusic gave it a perfect score.
Neutral Milk Hotel's reunion lineup is the one that performed on that album and includes frontman Jeff Mangum as well as Scott Spillane, Julian Koster and Jeremy Barnes.
Tickets, $33, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via onepercentproductions.com.
