Papillion-La Vista South 66, Bellevue East 19 – Aaron Rothermund hit 7 3s on his way to racking up 26 points in leading the Titans to the win. The Papio South defense didn't allow the Chieftains to score more than five points in a quarter. Christian Schneider added eight points for the Titans. Brady Pelzer led East with seven points in defeat.
Papillion-La Vista 55, Fremont 54 – Braxton Murphy drilled a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Monarch the win. Papio came back from a seven-point deficit with 1:30 left in the game. Tyler Dougherty notched a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead four Monarchs in double figures. Caleb Piatkowski netted 12 with Jack Kalina and Murphy both finishing with 10.
Bellevue West 69, Lincoln Southeast 63 – The Thunderbirds outscored Southeast 20-12 in the final quarter to grab the come-from-behind win. Malik Hluchoweckyj paced West with 16 points and CJ Johnson and Christian Hatterle added 15 apiece.
Burke 51, Bryan 44 – The Bears lost in the consolation match of the OPS Jamboree. Deon Parker was the hot hand for Bryan, pouring in 20 points, with Akot Riak adding 10.
Ralston 68, Blair 62 – The Rams went into overtime for the second straight game to start the season, but they were triumph in the contest. A 10-4 advantage in the extra period gave the Rams the win. Zach Flott dominated down low with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Marcellous Gardner and Josh Belling added a dozen points each.
Gross 59, Elkhorn 56 – The Cougars edged out the Antlers in a battle that was tight the whole way. Jake Hansen continued his impressive start to the season with 18 points. Nick Wonder added 13 for Gross.
Mount Michael 56, Gretna 54 – With the loss, the Dragons start the year 0-2. Mount Michael scored 23 points in the fourth quarter to pull of the upset at home. Nate Skrdla led Gretna in scoring with 18 points and Jared Samuelson added 16.
Louisville 50, Platteview 48 – The Trojan offense didn't click until the fourth quarter, when they were already facing a 16-point disadvantage. Seth Starks paced Platteview with 13 points.
Bellevue East 66, Papillion-La Vista South 32 – The Chieftains jumped out to an 11-point lead after one quarter to get an early start on the Titans. Haley Ourada and Peyton Hagen led East with 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Millard West 61, Bellevue West 47 – The No. 2 Wildcats put away the No. 1 T-birds with a 15-4 advantage in the fourth quarter. The T-birds were led by Kate Liveringhouse and Chloe Akin-Otiko, both netting 14 points.
Omaha South 72, Bryan 8 – The Bears failed to make more than one basket in a quarter the whole game, falling to 0-2.
Blair 50, Ralston 33 – The Rams drop to 0-2 with the loss. Lauren Shymkewicz notched a dozen points to lead the Ram offense.
Platteview 63, Louisville 42 – The Trojans used 19 points in the first quarter to ride to the victory. Mackenzie Zach led Platteview with 18 points and Nicki Stolzer added 11 in the win, making the Trojans 2-0.
Gross 41, Elkhorn 47 – The Cougars jumped to a 2-0 start with the win over the Antlers. Gross entered the fourth quarter down by one before they grabbed hold of the game. Lynsey Matulka led the way with 14 points for Gross, with Kayla Johnk adding nine.
Fremont 65, Papillion-La Vista 50 – The Monarchs couldn't stop Jess Shepard, who netted 40 points for the Tigers.
