Omaha-based Lone Mountain Truck Leasing announced it reached a milestone after recently signing over truck title No. 1,000 to an independent owner-operator.

The organization generally leases and sells used trucks and currently is leasing more than 3,000 trucks to prospective owners.

Company officials expect that figure to continue to grow.

“When we started at Pacific Junction (Iowa) we were only leasing about 20 trucks a month,” said Tom Crimmins, director of IT and marketing at Lone Mountain.
The company moved its back-office operations to Omaha in February 2011 and is now signing 100 truck leases a month, Crimmins said.
