OELWEIN — An Oelwein woman found shot several times in her home in October has been released from the hospital.
Authorities said 38-year-old Niki Meador was shot multiple times by her husband, Myron Meador, who then turned the gun on himself. He died Oct. 17, a day after the shootings took place at their Oelwein home.
Niki Meador has been at University Hospitals in Iowa City for more than a month.
Family members said she was released in time to share Thanksgiving with her relatives.
