Calvin Strong is the state's first 3,000-yard rusher after all, finishing with 3,008 yards and 43 touchdowns on 355 carries.
At the request of The World-Herald, Omaha North coaches on Wednesday reviewed game tapes of the Vikings' three playoff games prior to Tuesday night's 23-21 North victory over Omaha Westside in the Class A final.
In each of those games, World-Herald reporters had more yardage for Strong than the school's statisticians. That prompted the request to review those games. Strong previously had been reported at 2,988 yards.
