Omaha police have identified the man wounded in Thursday's officer-involved shooting as Deandre E. Crittenden, 30.
The officer who shot Crittenden was identified as Paul Hasiak, an 8 1/2 year veteran of the Omaha Police Department.
Police said Crittenden was shot multiple times after he picked up a .45 caliber handgun from the ground and raised it toward Hasiak.
The shooting occurred about 8:10 p.m. near 44th and Ruggles Streets.
Crittenden is expected to survive his injuries, police said.
