Fashion Institute Midwest event to feature designer collections

The Fashion Institute Midwest will hold a private shopping event of spring and summer 2014 designer collections from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today through Sunday at 1002 Dodge St.

Featured designers include Dennis Merotto, Lourdes Chavez, Isabelle Elie, Trixi Schober, Borris Powell and Jeff Hanson, plus NueVintage Apparel and Designs by Suey, both of Omaha. Prices range from $399 to $5,000.

Part of the proceeds will benefit the Fashion Institute Midwest, a nonprofit committed to nurturing aspiring designers through training, business incubation and other resources.
