NORFOLK, Neb. — All of the available tickets for Monday's Norfolk premiere of Alexander Payne's movie “Nebraska” have been sold.
The black-and-white comedy, which stars Bruce Dern, Will Forte, June Squibb, Stacy Keach and Bob Odenkirk, was filmed last fall in 13 communities in the state, including several in northeast Nebraska.
The Norfolk Film Commission is hosting the premiere celebration that will start with a champagne reception at 5:30 p.m. at the Divots Conference Center ballroom. Organizers said that Dern, Forte and Squibb will be attending the reception, along with Payne.
The reception will feature comments by Payne at 6:15 p.m. From there, attendees will make their way to CEC Norfolk 7 Theatre for an exclusive 7:30 p.m. viewing of the film.
“Nebraska” is the story of a cantankerous father (Dern) who thinks he's struck it rich after receiving a sweepstakes letter in the mail and wrangles his son (Forte) into taking a road trip to claim the fortune.
