Remembering the birth date of her fifth child will be easy for Keisha Maxwell.
She gave birth to Haskell Maxwell at 9:12 a.m. Tuesday at the Nebraska Medical Center.
And when she reflected on the sequential date — 11/12/13 — all she could do was smile, she said.
“I didn't even realize it when I scheduled my c-section,” Maxwell said.
When Haskell tells people his birth date in the future, she said, they will remember it.
“I'm just blessed to have him,” Maxwell said. “It's a very special day.”
Keisha and Haskell weren't the only ones to share the uniqueness of Tuesday's date.
Forty-two babies were born Tuesday at metro Omaha hospitals: 25 at Alegent Creighton hospitals, eight at Methodist Women's Hospital, five at the Nebraska Medical Center, two at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs and two at the Bellevue Medical Center.
One baby born at the Bellevue hospital arrived at 2:15 p.m., which is 14:15 in military time (11/12/13/14:15).
Dairy Queen was getting in on the 11/12/13 fun, offering a gift card to anyone getting married Tuesday. The card is for ice cream cake.
TaShiya McClinton of Omaha turned 10 on Tuesday, but she didn't seem overly concerned with 11/12/13.
“I always like my birthday because everyone is nicer to me,” said TaShiya, a fourth-grader at Sacred Heart Elementary School.
TaShiya was hoping that her birthday would bring her good luck for dance team tryouts Tuesday night.
“I keep telling her how cool this day is and she just keeps saying, 'I'm turning 10, that's what's special about it,'” said Erica McClinton, TaShiya's mother.
