A running list of Omaha restaurants open on Thanksgiving

The list of restaurants serving Thanksgiving meals is growing. If you're a local restaurant with Thanksgiving hours and menu specials, let us know by emailing Sarah Baker Hansen at sarah.bakerhansen@owh.com.

Salty Dog Bar and Grill

The Salty Dog Bar and Grill at 2411 S. 24th St. in Council Bluffs, will be open Thanksgiving day from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. For more information, call 712-256-4851.

Caddy's Riverside Grille

Caddy's Riverside Grille at 2 Harrah's Blvd in Council Bluffs will be open Thanksgiving day from 11 a.m. to 4p.m. and will serve a Thanksgiving buffet for $25 per person and $14 for children.

Mimi's Cafe

Mimi's Cafe will be open Thanksgiving day. The restaurant will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will be serving a special Thanksgiving menu. The Omaha location is in Village Pointe at 301 N. 175th Plaza. For more information, call 402-289-9610.

Jack and Mary's

Jack and Mary's restaurant will be serving turkey, prime rib, ham or chicken with all the fixings on Thanksgiving day, and reservations are recommended. The dinner costs $15.99 for adults, and the restaurant opens at 11 a.m. The last seating of the day will take place at 6 p.m. Jack and Mary's is at 655 N. 114th St. For more information, call 402-496-2090.

Mahoney Grille

Mahoney Grille, at Mahoney State Park, will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving and will be serving a buffet meal with a prime rib carving station, maple sugar glazed ham, roasted turkey, fruit and cheese, bread and sides including mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cheesy corn, sauteed green beans and cranberries. A salad bar will feature Thanksgiving salads, and a dessert station will have cakes, pies and cheesecakes.

The meal is $19.99 for adults and $7.99 for kids.

The Mahoney Grille is inside Mahoney State Park, between Lincoln and Omaha, and the address is 28500 West Park Hwy. in Ashland, Neb. For more information, call 402-944-2979.

The Sparetimes Sports Theater and Restaurant

The Sparetimes Sports Theater and Restaurant, inside Sepmeck's Bowling Alley, will have a Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The buffet will include oven-roasted turkey, broasted turkey, ham, roast beef and many sides. The buffet is $14.95 for adults, $12.95 for seniors, $9.95 for kids ages 6-12 and free for kids under 6.

The restaurant will also have a carved turkey dinner with the choice of three sides for $12.95, or a hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes for $8.95.

Reservations are not required. The restaurant is at 20902 Cumberland Dr. in Elkhorn. For more information, call 402-289-4614.

Old Country Buffet

The Old Country Buffet at 14525 West Center Road is open on Thanksgiving and will serve an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, pumpkin squares and more.

The restaurant will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. The buffet is first come, first serve.

A+ Buffet

The A+ Buffet and Mongolian Grill will be open on Thanksgiving. The restaurant is at 14426 West Center Road.

Cascio's Steakhouse

Cascio's Steakhouse will also be open Thanksgiving day.

The restaurant, 1620 S. 10th St., will serve roasted turkey with dressing, potatoes, corn and salad; baked ham and sweet potatoes with corn and salad; and a 7 ounce top sirloin with potatoes, pasta and salad.

Thanksgiving hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and reservations are required. Call 402-345-8313.

Johnny's Cafe

Johnny's Cafe is open for Thanksgiving and will serve the traditional Thanksgiving dinner it's been serving for 29 years. The menu includes the traditional turkey dinner for $18.95, the slow roasted prime rib dinner for $23.95 or the fresh salmon dinner for $20.95. All the options include a relish tray, a roll, turkey vegetable soup or apple cider, a green salad or cranberry salad, a potato, a side of vegetables, pumpkin pie or sherbet and coffee or tea. Seconds on the turkey dinner option are free.

Kid-sized portions and takeout dinners are also available.

The restaurant will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations are required.

Cheeseburger in Paradise

Cheeseburger in Paradise, 17304 Davenport St., will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving and will serve its regular menu.

Bohemian Cafe

The Bohemian Cafe will serve a special menu, which includes roast turkey, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Prices range from $12.95 to $19.25 and include coffee or tea. The restaurant will also serve its homemade apple strudel and kolaches.

Parties of five or more should call for a reservation at 402-342-9838. The restaurant is at 1406 S. 13th St.

Big Red Restaurant

All four locations of Big Red Restaurant and Sports Bar open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

The restaurants are at 2323 Laverna St. in Fremont, 955 W. O St. in Lincoln, 2101 W. Pasewalk Ave. in Norfolk, and 8100 Cass St. in Omaha.

Jaipur restaurant

The Jaipur restaurant will be serving a special Thanksgiving Day dinner from 5-9:30 p.m. The restaurant will serve its regular menu as well as two specials, a Jaipur bone-in barbecue chicken and a Tandoori pork loin.

The restaurant also has installed a new wine tasting machine in its bar area that lets customers try eight different wines in one ounce, three ounce and five ounce pours. The bar and dining room areas have also been remodeled.

Jerico's Restaurant

Jerico's Restaurant will be open on Thanksgiving from noon to 9 p.m. and will serve the traditional meal, complete with turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and giblet gravy, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. The dinner is $16.99 for adults and $10.99 for kids.

The restaurant will also serve its regular menu, and reservations are required. For more information, call 402-496-0222.

Sullivan's Steakhouse

Sullivan's Steakhouse won't cook your Thanksgiving turkey, but it'll be happy to send you home with the fixings.

In the days leading up to the holiday, Nov. 26 and 27, Sullivan's will offer a variety of seasonal side dishes for pickup.

Available sides include horseradish mashed potatoes, creamed corn, Brussels sprouts, sweet potato casserole, mac and cheese and creamed spinach. Each dish is available in three sizes and advanced ordering is required. Prices vary depending on the size and type of dish. Orders will be accepted starting Nov. 20.

Wilson and Washburn

For those who need a cocktail after their turkey, Wilson and Washburn will be open. The restaurant will open its bar at 7 p.m. and will run Black Friday beer and drink specials from midnight until 2 a.m.

Wheatfields

The One Pacific Place location of Wheatfields will have its bakery open on Thanksgiving from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. That is the only Wheatfields location that will be open, and the dining room area will be closed.

Horseman's Park

Horseman's Park will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thanksgiving.

The restaurant will serve its regular menu along with a special Thanksgiving dinner that will include turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and corn for $6.95.

Reservations are not needed; the restaurant is at 6303 Q St.

Old Dundee Bar & Grill

The Old Dundee Bar & Grill will be open Thanksgiving from 7 p.m. until 2 a.m. on Thanksgiving with its regular menu. The kitchen will be open until 1:30 a.m.

Old Dundee Bar & Grill is located at 4964 Dodge St.

Both Cracker Barrel locations open

The Cracker Barrels in Omaha and Council Bluffs are both open Thanksgiving Day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Omaha location is at 9409 S 142nd St. and the Bluffs location at 530 30th Ave.

Council Bluffs casinos

At the Horseshoe Casino buffet, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., the buffet will be $23.99 and the meal, a prime rib holiday buffet, will feature all the holiday trimmings. Thanksgiving turkey, Polish sausage, Italian sausage and bone-in ham will also be available.

Jack Binion's Steak House, inside Horseshoe, will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a menu that includes prime steak, appetizers and homemade desserts.

The Harrah's Casino buffet will feature a traditional Thanksgiving menu and will be $20.99 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Prime rib, turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie and bread pudding will all be part of the spread.

Harrah's 360 Steakhouse will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be serving holiday favorites including butternut squash with roasted chestnuts, sliced turkey breast roulade with spiced sweet potato mash, brioche stuffing, cranberry glace and sage chips.
