A traffic accident along North 72nd Street in Omaha between Cass and Blondo Streets knocked out power and traffic signals Thursday morning.
The powerless signals were reported around 6 a.m.
OPPD said a traffic accident in the area damaged a transformer and knocked out the power.
Authorities said Omaha police directed morning commuter traffic in the area.
Also, city crews installed temporary stop signs to help with the traffic flow.
OPPD replaced the damaged transformer and switch along 72nd Street. Power to about 1,200 customers was restored around 12:30 p.m., including to the traffic signals on 72nd Street at Cass Street and Capitol Avenue.
