Midtown Crossing will welcome two new stores this month: Me & Me and The Ugly Sister Boutique. They will share the same address, 3157 Farnam St., but occupy two different storefronts.
Me & Me, which carries “cutting-edge styles from New York and Los Angeles,” is expected to open at Midtown Crossing by Nov. 18
The store is relocating from west Omaha to 3157 Farnam St., and will occupy a new bay next to Chef2 (squared).
Me & Me offers a “trendy yet sophisticated” selection of fashion and accessories, including designer outerwear, scarves, handbags, shoes and jewelry. Owner Lisa Smith also plans to debut a line of menswear at the new store.
“I'm going to amp it up a bit,” Smith said.
Smith launched Me & Me with her cousin in 2008, as “a way for people in Omaha to shop outside the box.”
The Ugly Sister Boutique, which specializes in quirky gifts, trendy fashions and handbags and one-of-kind jewelry is expected to open Friday at 3157 Farnam St. between The Corky Canvas and NT Nails.
This will be the boutique's first Nebraska store and its third location. Other stores are located in Sioux City, Iowa, and Hudson, Wisc..
Owner Judy Martin-Alioth launched the boutique in 2010.
“We are colorful, a little loud and packed full of fun,” Martin-Alioth said.
