Fire investigators were trying to determine what caused a fire Friday at a commercial building near 36th and L Streets in South Omaha.
The fire, reported at 8:15 p.m., did not appear to be suspicious, said Battalion Chief Keith Main of the Omaha Fire Department.
When firefighters approached the concrete-block building, they saw smoke and flames rising from the roof. They reported the fire under control after about 20 minutes.
The business had been closed for the day. No firefighters were injured, Main said.
The investigators had not estimated the cost of the damage. The company should be able to reopen Monday, Main said.
