Alaska Airlines to offer daily nonstop flights between Eppley, Seattle

Alaska Airlines will begin offering a daily nonstop flight between Seattle and Omaha's Eppley Airfield on Nov. 7 and, to celebrate, the airline is offering special fares through Sunday.

The airline, with a gate in the south terminal, will make one daily flight from Omaha to Seattle and one daily flight from Seattle to Omaha.

The flight from Seattle will depart at 10:40 a.m. and arrive in Omaha at 3:45 p.m. The flight from Omaha will depart at 4:15 p.m. and arrive in Seattle at 5:45 p.m.

The airline also began a daily flight between Seattle and Colorado Springs today.

"We're thrilled to give our customers in the Pacific Northwest even more great places to fly," said Joe Sprague, Alaska Airlines' vice president of marketing, in a prepared statement. "We're also starting new flights this month from Portland, Ore., to Tucson, Ariz., and Reno, Nev. No one offers more nonstop flights from the Pacific Northwest than Alaska Airlines."

To celebrate the new flights, Alaska Airlines is offering one-way fares starting from $159 between Seattle and Omaha.Tickets must be purchased by Nov. 3 for travel through Feb. 28, 2014.
