TGI Fridays at Westroads Mall has closed.

The restaurant closed about two weeks ago, Westroads senior general manager Jim Sadler said. Plans are underway for a new tenant to fill the space, but he could not reveal who yet.

TGI Fridays locations in North Dakota, Arizona and Tennessee also have closed this year, according to news reports in which the chain cited “business reasons.”

In some markets, the chain has been remodeling and introducing new menu items. According to Fridays' website, restaurants in Boston, Baltimore, Washington D.C. and Miami are among the first for remodeling, with all open locations expected to be redesigned by the end of 2015. TGI Fridays operates more than 900 restaurants internationally.
