An Omaha man pleaded no contest Monday to false imprisonment for accosting a woman who was leaving an exercise class near 120th Street and West Center Road.
Glenn Nickerson, 25, will be sentenced in January. He faces up to five years in prison. In return for his plea, prosecutors dropped a charge of failing to register as a sex offender.
A 53-year-old woman told police that Nickerson was fondling himself as he grabbed her shoulder on her way out of an exercise class about 7 a.m. on June 17.
A nearby office worker intervened, thinking that Nickerson was trying to snatch the woman’s purse. Nickerson punched the Good Samaritan in the face.
Police found Nickerson later that morning in a women’s clothing store, fondling himself.
