An intergenerational choral concert will be held Saturday featuring the Bellevue Public Schools Saturday Chorus and the Bellevue Senior Singers.
The performance begins at 10:30 a.m. at the auditorium of Bellevue West High School, 1501 Thurston Ave.
“This year's music has been pretty challenging and our students have worked really hard to make it happen,” Melissa Ziegler, one of the director of the Saturday Chorus, said in a press release.
The Saturday Chorus brings more than 50 fifth- and sixth-grade students from across the district together to practice for two hours on Saturdays. The chorus gives them an opportunity to sing with students from other elementary schools.
“One of the highlights of our program is the ability to sing with Bellevue Senior Singers,” Jennifer Johnson, the other director of the chorus, said in a press release. “The Senior Singers are such a great example of how singing can be a lifelong activity.”
The concert is free and open to the public.
