An Omaha woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Saturday night after her car struck a 10-year-old boy near 46th and California Streets.
Sgt. Jason Menning said Thomas Hadley of Omaha was taken to Creighton University Medical Center with a broken leg and abrasions. A Creighton spokesman said Sunday that the boy was transferred to Children’s Hospital & Medical Center.
The boy was struck about 9:45 p.m. when he ran across California Street. Amanda Walsh, 22, was driving an eastbound 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The accident did not occur at an intersection.
Walsh was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and released. A check of Nebraska court records found no previous DUI arrests.
