It was a bit after 1 a.m. Monday, and on the southwest corner of 26th and Leavenworth Streets, John, a male prostitute, was looking for johns.
Three women standing around a broken-down car nearby posed a problem. They were slowing his business.
John called 911 to report the loitering women, referring to them as prostitutes, and hoping that officers would remove them from his corner, Omaha police said.
His plan did not work out. John, wearing a black bra and other items of women's clothing, “admitted he was upset the females were standing in his area,” an officer wrote in a report.
The man was ticketed on suspicion of soliciting prostitution.
Police searched him and found seven condoms in his pockets, which they said he could not explain. The officers asked the man, 46, why he was dressed as a woman.
He said he needed to be responsive to the preferences of his clients at 26th and Leavenworth Streets.
