Omaha police said a 74-year-old man whose stab wounds didn't appear to be life-threatening died of his injuries today.
The man, Paul Riederer, didn't realize he had been stabbed at first, police said.
Officers responded to the stabbing at 600 S. 27th St. just after 12 a.m. Tuesday.
When they arrived, Riederer told them he had a "confrontation" with two people, but he didn't realize he had been stabbed.
He was taken to Creighton University Medical Center, where his condition worsened, police said. Riederer died several hours later.
No arrests have been made.
