Demolition continued Wednesday on a midtown building housing a thrift store that was extensively damaged in a car wreck in July.
The crash killed the vehicle's two occupants, driver Dustin R. Hollenbeck, 24, and passenger Dylan J. Thompson, 20, both of Omaha. It took rescue workers 18 hours before they could safely enter the building to recover the bodies.
The car slammed into the building July 12, tearing open a huge hole in the wall.
Anderson Excavating Co. began tearing the building down on July 27.
Scott Goff, co-owner of the store, New 2 You, had said he was unable to recover any of the property or records inside the building before demolition began.
