Omaha Fashion Week, Aug. 19 through 23, is fast approaching and, of course, you want to look your best on the red carpet. But what to wear?

Borsheims, Fashion Week's red carpet sponsor, has some answers. The Berkshire Hathaway-owned jewelry and gift store is staging its second annual “Red Carpet Ready,” a free event that will be held Aug. 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Borsheims in the Regency Court shopping center, 120 Regency Parkway.

The two-hour event features fashion displays, hair and makeup tutorials by Omaha's Garbos Salon and Spa and complimentary cocktails. In addition, participants will get the latest fashion buzz from style experts, and browse and try on jewelry.
