Saturday will be the final day that Omaha residents can drop off downed tree limbs from Monday's storm for free at two city debris sites.
Carrie Murphy, a spokeswoman for Mayor Jean Stothert, said the sites at Tranquility Park near 120th Street and West Maple Road and a city property at 11th and Locust Streets will accept debris from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Saturday.
Additionally, power has been restored to all homes that experienced outages associated with Monday's storm, Omaha Public Power District's blog said. Crews completed work at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, OPPD said.
More than 52,000 customers served by OPPD lost power at the peak of the storm. Winds, which were measured at 69 mph at Eppley Airfield, felled trees and downed power lines.
Electricians employed by the Nebraska Public Power District, the Southern Power District in south-central Nebraska and the Lincoln Electric System joined OPPD crews to repair lines.
