COUNCIL BLUFFS — A Council Bluffs man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a stabbing Monday night.
Shortly before 6 p.m., a man allegedly stabbed James Augustine, 21, in the back and upper lip with a garden trowel, according to the Council Bluffs Police Department.

The suspect fled after the incident, and as of Monday night, authorities hadn't located him or the weapon, Sgt. Dave Dawson said.
Police also said the victim's uncle, Kenneth Augustine, 42, is a person of interest in the case.
