Omaha police arrested two men in connection with the fatal August shooting of a 17-year-old girl.
Devina M. Johnson was shot in a friend's car Aug. 27 near 36th Street and Ames Avenue.
Tracey Wooten, 18, was arrested Friday on suspicion of first-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
Tristian Rodriquez-Shelly, 21, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.
The two were already in the Douglas County Jail. They were arrested March 6 on suspicion of criminal impersonation for showing false identification to law enforcement.
Wooten also was arrested Jan. 12 on suspicion of robbery. That case is pending. Rodriquez-Shelly has been convicted of a few misdemeanors, such as marijuana possession.
When she was shot, Johnson was on track to graduate from Benson High School. She left behind a 2-year-old daughter.
